Gallery of Student Work

On this page you will find examples of student work that we have done in the lab using various applications. Most of the projects that we work on were either started in the library with Mrs. Lyles or in the classroom with teachers. For the Animal Projects, the students did research on the various animals while I was in Uganda using both books and Internet sites found under the links section of this website. After doing the reseach process of finding and taking notes the students constructed sentences and sketched pictures of their animals. Once in the computer lab the students typed their sentences and drew their pictures using AppleWorks. Mrs. Savarin, our Art teacher, connected to this project by having second grade students mold clay animals and draw the animals habitat to serve as a background. The students have learned much about the animals as well as why some are endangered with this project. These are only a few samples.

Some files will be PDF format which will require that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Most computers already have it installed as it is free.
